Catalpa Oaks

Catalpa Oaks is a 24-acre Oakland County Park located in the City of Southfield. The project to improve Catalpa Oaks is part of the OCP Healthy Communities Park and Outdoor Recreation Investment Plan. The Catalpa Oaks project aims to add an accessible and welcoming plaza and to make improvements to the parking lot and stormwater management. The project is funded by the OCP Healthy Communities Park and Outdoor Recreation Investment Plan, including $750,000 in ARPA funding and $1,490,000 from the OCP Capital Improvement Program.

Oakland County Parks facilitated a Community Needs Assessment in 2022 to drive and shape the ways taxpayer dollars are spent within the park system. This evaluation helped craft the priorities for park improvements at Catalpa Oaks.
