Clinton River Oaks
The Clinton River Oaks project, led by Oakland County Parks (OCP), brings together several partners to improve the Clinton River Trail, restore sections of the Clinton River, and increase public access to high-quality natural areas. These improvements are focused along the Clinton River and Clinton River Trail in Rochester and Rochester Hills west of Dequindre Road and east of Elizabeth Street.
Clinton River Oaks includes 286 acres of existing and future parkland made up of several properties. These lands contain approximately 2.8-miles of the Clinton River. The property includes a 128.7-acre parcel in Rochester that OCP is purchasing from a private landowner (blue portion of map), a 108.7-acre portion of Rochester Hills' Bloomer Park (yellow portion), and 48.7 acres owned by Rochester (green portion). OCP will manage the city-owned parcels through interlocal agreements.
In addition, OCP has provided a $700,000 grant to the City of Rochester to help repair trail washouts. These repairs will reopen a section of the trail west of Dequindre Road that had been closed to the public.

Phases
Park Updates
The public engagement in the previous phase will help OCP create a park plan that provides quality outdoor natural areas with access for all people and that meets the needs of the community. Updates to the park will be ongoing as OCP continues to manage, operate and invest in Clinton River Oaks.
